Fun and Food at Glade Run’s Family Food Truck Festival! Head to Glade Run on Saturday, August 9 from 11am to 3pm to enjoy some of Pittsburgh’s tastiest food trucks! Cold beer, refreshing drinks and sweet treats will be for sale as well. The event also features a car cruise, vendors, bake sale, kids zone, fundraising opportunities and live music featuring the band, Hit List. Admission and parking are free! Location is the campus of Glade Run Lutheran Services, 30 Glade Run Drive, Zelienople, PA. Bring your family and friends and come hungry! Proceeds benefit children with autism and individuals served through mental health programs at Glade Run.

Join Conneaut Lake Historical Society on Saturday, August 9th at 10am for Liberty Fest at they celebrate the 40th anniversary of the “Liberty the Second” recovery from the depths of Conneaut Lake. Events include: Program with the divers, Brian Simpson and Bill Houghton; restoration program by Gary Worthington; music by Dave McMillin, including the Liberty song; starting the Liberty engin (1 of 3 in existence and the only one that runs); and video of the Liberty being brought up from the lake. There will also be food, a scavenger hunt, displays, and fundraising opportunities. Liberty memorabilia will be for sale including ornaments and shirts.

The Horsethief Dairy Dash 5k will be held on Saturday, August 16 at 8am during Knox Horsethief Days. Check-ins and race-day registration will open at 7am and will be located in front of the main entrance of Keystone High School. The cost of the race will be $30 ($32 for 2XL or 3XL T-shirt). Send a check and the registration form to Clarion County Dairy Princess Promotion Team, P. O. Box 406, Shippenville, PA 16254. Pre-registration will end on July 30, 2025. All who pre-register will receive a race T-shirt. Medals will be presented to the top 3 overall men and top 3 overall women finishers. Awards will be given to the top 3 male and female finishers in each of the following age categories: 12 and under, 13-17, 18-25, 26-35, 36-50, and 51 and over. Johnston Activities Community Event Day is a free event being held Saturday, August 16 from Noon-5pm at the Johnston Fire Station in Farmdale, Ohio.
